Experience Winter at Brian Head

When it snows down south, this is where you want to be. Ski or ride two connected mountains, send the kids down the tubing hill, or take a snowmobile deep into the forest — then come back to a warm home with the lifts practically outside the door. First chair is a short walk away; the hot tub is even closer.

Brian Head Is Southern Utah's Winter Playground

With Utah’s highest base elevation and over 360 inches of famously dry snow a year, Brian Head delivers a full winter season — mid-November right through mid-April — while the desert below stays bare. There’s no shortage of things to do: ski and ride, tube, snowmobile, snowshoe, or just kick back by the fire and watch it snow.

Skiing, Snowboarding & Snow Play

From your first pizza-wedge on the bunny hill to a full send down a black diamond, the mountain grows with your family. Brian Head’s renowned Kids Camp runs age-based, fully supervised lessons, and rentals are available slopeside — so nobody has to haul gear across the state to learn.

Brian Head Resort, By the Numbers

650 skiable acres. 71 runs. 8 lifts, including two high-speed quads. Three terrain parks and two tubing hills. Two mountains — Giant Steps and Navajo — joined by a scenic ski bridge. And the driest snow in North America, at roughly 4% moisture. All of it a short walk from your front door.

Night Skiing & Terrain Parks

The fun doesn’t stop at sunset. Catch a pass for night skiing under the lights, or session three terrain parks built with 20+ features for every level, from first boxes to big jump lines. Progression, all in one place.

Spa Day (or Snow Day In)

Stay In & Unwind: Your Private Wellness Escape

Some of the best days on the mountain are the ones you spend off it. When the storm rolls in, stay put: soak in the 8-person hot tub, sweat out the chill in the cedar sauna, melt into the steam shower, then sink into the jacuzzi tub. Robe on, something warm in hand, snow on the windows. This is your private wellness escape — no lift ticket required.

Snowmobiling & Winter Backcountry

Some of the most beautiful country around Brian Head only opens up in winter. Book a guided snowmobile tour through the Dixie National Forest and the Cedar Mountain complex, where miles of groomed trails wind past overlooks you can’t reach any other way. Prefer quiet? Highway 148 through Cedar Breaks closes to cars each winter and becomes a groomed lane for snowmobiles, cross-country skis, and snowshoes.

And yes, the fishing doesn’t stop when the lakes freeze. Panguitch Lake — “big fish” in Paiute — is a classic ice-fishing spot for trophy trout all winter long.
